About D-8 MEC
The D-8 Media Excellence Center (D-8 MEC) is a structural division of the Media Excellence Hub (MEH). The Center serves to develop institutional cooperation in the media sphere among the member states of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, to build a professional media environment, to promote the exchange of knowledge and experience, to apply innovative media solutions and to implement joint projects.
D-8 MEC carries out its activities in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the relevant regulatory documents of the Media Development Agency, the decisions of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, international agreements and other applicable legal acts.
Goal
The main goal of the Center is to establish sustainable institutional cooperation in the media sphere among the D-8 countries, strengthen professional media capacity, promote joint media projects and contribute to more effective representation of the D-8 countries in the international information space.
